...Tröllanes. We grew out of long term vision of operating in and around Seyðisfjörður. For more than 20 years, our work has been shaped by close familiarity with local landscapes, weather, and conditions in East Iceland. Expanding onto the sea is a natural continuation of that practice, grounded in the same attention to local expertise.
Our approach is built on authenticity and solid, dependable quality. We prioritise local knowledge, careful planning, and operations shaped by real conditions rather than spectacle or fixed promises.
Our Ship - Arctic Rose
After serving as a Norwegian passenger ferry the “Arctic Rose” was repurposed to become a traditional Icelandic-style whale watching ship. This spacious 25m vessel can accommodate as many as 100 passengers in warm indoor saloons and large outdoor observation areas.
Sailor is, alongside our tours, also used by scientists and students for marine-related field activities, including coastal sampling and observation, reflecting our view of the ship as a working platform that supports both learning and visitor experiences.
